As per the provisions of the present Constitution of India, President has no independent power. He has to follow the advice of the Council of Ministers headed by the Prime Minister(Art.74). In other words the office of President in India is more of ornamental nature to approve the acts of the Parliament and the Prime Minister.

we have only a rubber stamp president. there is no presidential system in india.
