Sony Vaio PCV-W30 screen?

Ok this is probably an easy question to anyone that has this computer. But for some reason the screen isn't widescreened. there are 2 black strips on each side of my window that the screen should extend into.. Anyone know how to stretch the screen back out???? Thanks

BTW the resolution is at the tops.

Change the desktop resolution to a widescreen mode.

It is best to take it to the native resolution of the panel. Usually the highest resolution available on the slider bar.
