Solve an inequality just like a normal equation.

2x + 7 > 5

Subtract 7 from both sides.

2x > -2

Divide by two.

x > -1

Now fill out the number line for all numbers greater than -1.

Shouldn't this question be under mathematics?
Anyway, subtract 7 from both sides to get
2x > -2.
Now divide by 2 to get
x > -1.
For your number line just shade everything
to the right of -1 and put a little circle on x = -1
to show that's not part of the answer.
