And when to put it in the breeder tank?

Never put a pregnant female into a breeder to early, they will only get stressed and it may result in abortion

The gestation period for livebearers is 28 days for all livebearers

The gravid spot can also be lighter and not just dark

The main thing you see on a female just before birth, is the squarely appearance they get, when you look at them
At this time they're only about a few days away from giving birth
here is a link that describes it a bit more in detail and also a video showing a guppy just before birth

Hope that helps
Good luck

The gestation period of a livebearer (guppies, mollies, etc) is abotu 3-4 weeks. If your guppy seems really big then it should have the baby in about a week.

If you have a breeder tank, I would put her now so she can settle. Don't stress your guppy or it will get stressed and abort the young.

Hopefully your breeder tank isn't the ones that you just put down into the water in the same tank cause those little guppies can swim through the tinyest little holes.

The blacker her hind end is, the closer she is to delivery. The black is the eyes of the fry. Make sure that there is plenty of plants for the fry to hide in or they will get eaten. Mom can go back into breeding take right away if you choose.
