The Democrats seem to be less corrupt and a lot less hypocritical.

Nowadays it is. In today's politically correct world and one side wanting more power and money than the other to the point they fight dirty or call out another, it just went down the drain. There used to be a time where both parties could stand together and not be so hostile or volatile with each other and live together in harmony. But then civil rights, civil liberties and loud mouth shysters political and non-political came along and made a line between the two parties, and people altogether, and next thing you know the rift was created.

Neither party is actually as bad as they want you to think the other one is. That desire to destroy and destruct begun during the Clinton years as evinced by the ongoing mudfest directed at the Clintons and continued into the Bush years by calling Democrats unpatriotic and immoral as an appeal to the Republican base of Fundamentalist Christians has truly rent our country. Appealing to a small but noisy group has turned many religious, patriotic people of both parties into spurning politics in general. Leaving the vote in the hands of people more concerned with a specific agenda then getting the country a competent government. I wonder, if we will ever see a mature realistic government, instead of the name calling nit picking who-got-who mess we have now?
Well we will, I suppose, but we have to vote for one first. Then support it.
Maybe its more fun to complain than to come up with solutions.

I used to vote Republican. I won't anymore. I didn't leave the GOP; they left me. But the Dems aren't much better. A viable Independent Party might be the answer, but the pols on both sides of the aisle will do their level best to stop that from happening, because it threatens their grip on power.
Yeah, I'd call that a crisis.

YES THEY ARE!!! They are both equally corrupt. For everything the libs find at fault in the cons, the cons can find something at fault in the libs. You hear a lot more about Repubs getting in trouble because that is Bush's party. Back when Clinton was in office, you heard a lot more about the Dems getting in trouble.
It's time we ditch this two party system and move on to real elections.

How come people never talk about the corruption of the Supreme Court Justices? It's always about the corruption of the politicians on Capitol Hill.
Being even-handed is quite nice. But as far as I'm concerned, it is the Surpeme Court Justices -- all of them -- who are the most corrupt..

It's mostly the Dems that are corrupt and the difference between the parties is that the Reps usually resign, but the Dems don't have any shame, or remorse.

I agree, but since they're what we have, I try to vote for the lesser of the two evils.

Maybe, but under Democratic rule, the downhill slide will be much quicker and far more devastating.
