My previous roommate left us at the beginning of the summer and chose her replacement so she could leave asap. The new girl even said she was going to find a place at the end of the summer. Now that we have found people we actually like to move in, the "replacement" wont leave because her plans changed. What about our plans? No one offerred for her to stay longer either.

Let her know that you planned that she was leaving at the end of the summer and you already found a replacement to move in when summer ended. And if she gives you trouble let her know that she has 30 days to leave I think that is the legal amount of days and it is plenty of time for her to find a new place

Good luck I hope everything works out =)

If there is no sign paper telling her that she can stay longer than what she already has, then she has no right being there. You just need to say "look we have been this nice enough to let you stay longer than you planned, but now we have found permanent roommates that need to move in ASAP so you need to leave, like you said you would at the end of summer!!!"

If you can't get her to leave willingly, you could have trouble getting her to go. Evicting someone through the courts is difficult, and if she's paying rent it is next to impossible. Laws are different from state to state, so you may have better luck than I did, but it took me four months to get a sherrif to kick out someone who wasn't paying rent, so I have doubts as to how much luck you'll have in the courts.

Your best option may be for you and the people you want to live with to just find another place to live. The other option is to be evil to the unwanted roomate until she leaves on her own. I hope you can get her to leave without resorting to that though.

well this is a toughie but i think you should ask her if she found a place casually and once shes said yes or no offer her to help out finding/moving to the new place and tell her clearly if she refuses to move that she was here for a set amount of time and that you have people that need to move in and trus me i hate bein mean but some things gotta be done

Just tell her to leave it sounds mean as hell but thats the best you can do. tell her that your plans have changed and that she said it was only temporarily. And now you have someone that wants the room!! say the time is up and now its time to leave. it was great having you around but sorry!! dont be nice either she will think your not serious

You can tell the replacement that the agrreement was till the end of summer, which is here now. As such, she has 2 weeks to vacate the premises. (Whatever the legal timeframe is).

If she receives mail there, you have to go to the Magistrate and have her officially evicted, otherwise as long as she wants to stay there you have to put up with her!

Sorry, and it could take as long as 90days to get her out of there!

I wish you the best of luck!

I once had a roommate and it was easier for ME to move than to make her move out!!!

Start asking her questions like, "Any luck finding a new place??"
Or.. start discussing in front of her your plans to change the decor after she moves out...
Make it obvious without directly saying to her that she needs to move out.
You say you found people.. so I'm assuming it's more than one. Start breaking down the bills in front of her saying something like, "when so and so move in then they'll have to pay such amount of the bills"
Good luck!!

Tell her straight up that she has to find another place to live within a certain amount of time. Like a week or two and if does not find it in time then kick her out.
