I have a Photo926 from Dell, it's the PictBridge model and it keeps saying "load paper". I load the paper and it runs through and gets stuck. There is nothing blocking the passage. What should I try next???

Hi Parsha,

I took this from the Dell support site for your printer:
http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/en/tree?c=us&l=en&s=gen&treeid=760F931319EE4800AC777B8A03D8B977&journalid=2F490DE9572711DCB020DF05E8BF2655&Query=&SystemID=&ServiceTag=&contenttype=&os=&component=&lang=&doclang=&toggle=&dl=true

If those steps don't work, try this:
1. Try removing everything including the ink cartridges, paper and paper tray, if it comes off. basically, take it apart so it is just like you got it.

2. Double check that there are no obstructions. Many times these printers ship with orange tape holding any moving parts so that they don't bang around during shipping. make sure all of those are removed.

3. Put everything back together. Make sure that you are using the correct paper and appropriate settings on the printer, such as a little lever or sliding device that keeps the paper straight.

4. Try it again.

Good luck!

Lexmark makes dell printers it's probably going about half way then telling you i have a paper jam ? The first thing I would do is get a small bottle of rubber renew then take a Q tip dip it in the renew and rub it on the rubber pick up wheel it's shaped like a D rub good to get it all clean be carefull not to touch the printer with the renew it will eat the plastic. You can use a few Q tips to do it what happends is the dust from the paper makes the pick up roller slip that shoul help. Check the sie where you put the cartridges in to make sure nothing is on the paper path. gl

You have to be completely sure there isn't some very small peace of paper in the passage of the roller guides. If not lubricate the guides with silicone spray.Or it may just be the heat in the room or the printer give it a break for a few min.

You could have a buildup of toner.. Try using some canned air to blow through the pathway.

I'm really sorry I don't know what to do now. When my printer does that I usually turn it off and reload it.
