Theres no such thing as a friend

2007-08-30 07:13:42 · answer #1 · answered by Ryan 5 · 2 3

Oh girl - do not give them the power! share what you want with friends & take from them what you benefit - don't be a target.....it's like asking "does my butt lok big in these jeans"? Seriously - only you have the power to be hurt as far as feelings - the rest depends upon what you confide. You have the power. For the rest , you live you learn. In the interest of total honesty, ask why & if the answer is unacceptable. Not a friend . It might still hurt but you can move on.

Often. Sometimes it is just that person does not share the same values as you, so they hurt you by doing things that you would not do to them, but they do not consider a problem. Sometimes they are just selfish and out for what they can get, so they do things they know are wrong, but don't care whether or not it hurts you. And sometimes they are jealous of you and hurt you because they cannot cope with their own feelings of inadequacy, and sometimes they are just plain nasty and hurt anyone and anytime but expect everyone to treat them with kid gloves. As you grow older, you will realise who your true friends are, the more troubles you go through in life, the more you will remember who stood by you, and that they were your true friends. I'm sorry you have been hurt, I hope your friend apologises, if not, it is sometimes better to step back from them a little, or completely.

Although some people won't admit to it, I definitely have and it sucks. But I have learned to be my own best friend and that way I don't worry about anyone hurting my feelings. Whenever someone hurts my feelings, I just let it roll of my shoulders and walk over it and keep moving without looking back.

Yes, it happens, your friends are not perfect, just like you are not. You should forgive them and move on with life. Sometimes we hurt people we love when we don't intend to. True friends work through trials and hurts and come out better friends on the other side of it.

Friends are only human too. No-one will agree with you all the time and there may be times when they'll say things that will seem unfriendly but the mark of a friend is someone who will take those knocks and disregard them because they love you.

Don't ever let anyone have that much power over you. If your feelings are hurt, your options are to confront the friend and risk making matters worse, or just letting it go.

If this only happened to you once then you are not very old.

People who are not your friends can not hurt you, only people you love and trust truly hurt you. Others just make you angry.

Here have a comfort hug from me. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeze

YES .But the moment a person cheats on you and hurts your feelings he ceases to be a friend and should be treated like a traitor.

Yes.This happens to you when you are too trusting, too soon in a relationship, or when the other is a selfish person. I think this happens to everyone while still young and inexperienced. We become more careful of our confidants as we age and so, it happens much less. C. :)!!
