And how do the libs who brand conservatives as racist for criticizing Obama reconcile the fact that Justice Thomas was slandered, libeled and pilloried by the mobocracy of the Left?

Is that a 'real' black person cannot possibly be a conservative?

Apologized to for what? Just so you know, telling the truth about someone is not defamation.

What was the apology supposed to be for? For getting away with abominable behavior? For enjoying a nice tenure on the supreme court? For being above the law? For destroying a part of another person's life? Just what was he supposed to be apologized to for? And from whom? And your comment on racism is ridiculous. Racists come in all colors, and on all sides of the political spectrum. How do you reconcile the fact that you just said a sex offender should be apologized to?

This is utterly ridiculous. Justice Thomas should be eternally grateful to the Senate and everyone else who allowed him to ascend to the highest court in the land amidst allegations of serious sexual misconduct.

I watched his confirmation hearings, and I remember the final vote. I remember senator after senator, from both parties, stating into the record that while suspicions remained about Thomas' conduct, nothing could be proven either way, and therefore the thin majority who voted to confirm were "compelled" to give Thomas the "benefit of the doubt" and support his nomination.

"Benefit of the doubt". Over multiple accusations of sexual harassment in the workplace. In consideration for the Supreme Court. What disgusts me more than anything about this story, and the rationale many senators used in voting to confirm him, is that someone applying to be a HIGH SCHOOL JANITOR would not receive this same "benefit of the doubt" regarding questions of sexual misconduct. Nor should they, just like Clarence Thomas shouldn't have received it.

Thomas is damned lucky, and we owe him nothing. Except our contempt.

You gotta be kidding! I could say more about how Thomas' nomination was rammed through Congress by a master politician, George Bush Sr. But let's just say you gotta be kiddin'! and then some. Anita Hill and all women are the ones who should be apologized to.

You need to get your facts straight. Thomas was accused of sexual impropriety by an African American woman, a charge she never recanted. A poll taken in 1992 showed that more people believed her than believed Thomas. Who exactly is supposed to apologize to Thomas?

Spot on. Especially Kennedy. Positively gruesome treatment. Regarding minorities, how about Gonzo?

No its that crappy behavior is crappy behavior, and Thomas is a crappy jurist in addition to being a liar and a sexist.
It is what it is.
Now that's what I call truly being unprejudiced. I can judge that judge based on what hes said and done rather than what his color is.

Lord knows Justice Thomas deserves a huge appology from the liberal left of this country.

I must have missed something. Why would one apologize to him? How was he wronged?
