I'm not just asking about religious folks who are trying to get other people to join their flock. The question refers to any person who spends time and energy trying to get other people to switch from their strongly held beliefs (or opinions) to something different under the premise that theirs is "the right way". I would appreciate it if those who answered were serious and thoughtful, although response from all is encouraged. Thanks!

Well most people do believe there way is the right way. If they didn't then they wouldn't really believe in there ways strongly or follow them. I'm vegan and I believe this is the right way to go. But i dont feel the need to push my belief on someone, if they wish to know about it then i tell them. I never understood why people push there belief on you until no end. It normally only drives people away. But i think they do because they want more people to join them on the right path because they enjoy it.

Hope that helped a little.

Because they feel very strongly in what they are doing, whether it be some religious group, sports event, etc. They want you to get the same joys they do. Also they probably like talking about it because they spend time on it and its part of their life.

Hope that enlightens you a bit.

Well if you knew something to be true beyond doubt and would be beneficial to everyone... wouldn't you want to share it with people no matter how absurd it might sound?

Of course most only THINK that something they believe is true and thats where the trouble starts!
