CATS,
It's not so much that I'm sad, because I already did mourn her death, back in 1997!! The same year I lost my dear Grandmother! This was a very SAD year for the whole world, when Lady Di died!! I remember hearing the news, while I was getting ready to clock-off, at work!! I was working for Harrahs-Casino, at the time. One of my co-workers come over to me, and asked me If I'd heard about Lady Di? I said "Lady Di?" No, what happened to her?" She tells me she passed away. I was in "DisBelief" is what the words were, is all I can describe how I felt! I couldn't believe someone as Beautiful, inside & out, and one who already went through so much pain, already by just being married to one who was in-love with someone else, that this same Enormous Icon of a Woman-Lady (I should say) could pass-away???!!! I was in such DIS-BELIEF!!! That is until I got home and turned-on the TV!! Then, all of my disbelief went out the window!! And all's I could do was call everyone in my family and we all shared our tears, of disbelief with one another!! But we all blaimed the Paparazzi!! We dont think there were any kind of conspiracy against her, or anything unusual, that could have caused this accident to happen, other than speed!!! She kept telling her driver to drive faster, to outrun the paparazzi, and he did. Mind you they did say he was a bit intoxicated!! So, this may have contributed to the accident!! Otherwise, everyone is always wanting to find some sort of conspiracy in everything about famous people!! But my family doesn't think there was any such thing!! It was her time, is all. Sad, but true!! She will be missed, for many years to come!! Seeing her again, on our local TVguide channel, and all her Beauty makes me miss her!! But, other than that, we mourned her death a great deal back in 1997 when she initially died!! She was a Wonderful Mother, and she really had a very caring demeanour about her, when it came to her charities, she was a very Beautiful and Unique Woman, and she will always be in our thoughts & prayers!! And she did a Fabulous Job, of raising those boys, to know they were very much Loved, by her!! For all that she was, while she resided on earth, she will be very much missed!! In Honor, & Respect of Lady Di!!! We all will continue to miss you Dear One!! You truely were and still are in Heaven Above a True Lady!!! Di......

Not really. I'm not heartless or anything. It's just that we've ben SO saturated with Diana footage that it's too much.
Sure, it's sad that she died young, but it has been 10 years.
Is it really fair to the dead to keep drudging up their deaths? Whatever happened to "Rest in Peace"?
She's gone, it was tragic. It was an accident. It's time we all just accepted that and moved on to more pressing matters on the planet.

No, not really, Wherever she is she isn't thinking about us, so why should we dwell on someones death whom we know virtually nothing of besides what was printed in the tabloids. Just like Elvis Presley. America is fascinated with death, and so they revere the people who were iconic in this lifetime.

Being an American I've never understood the whole monarchy thing. She was the first Royal that seemed to be real. I was very sad when she died. The world was a better place with her in it.

Yes, and sadly, her death didn't have to happen. What was the driver thinking going as fast as he was and drunk at that.
A tragic loss, not only for Diana's boys, but for everyone.

Her death was a sad event, but I am glad that her 2 sons are keeping her memory alive through their charity work that she started.

Yes, and no. Yes because I'm sad over a loss, no because I was kinda of too young at the time to actually remember it.

Not about the anniversary in of itself, but her death was certainly a tragedy and I'm sad it happened to someone who was a positive role model instead of say...Paris Hilton? =)
