1.) I knew since the beginning that we cannot be together that why I have been avoided you. I suppose we are just not meant for each other.
2.) Before my graduation in 2006, I just wanted to say “Good Bye” because I knew you care about me. (We never talked, but I just knew you care ^_^) However, after I left Edinboro, I was very upset and depressed because I missed you. I decided I am going to forget about you. But with god wills I found your Myspace and able read your poem (The longing---how amazing and wonderful that is!!) .You took my breath away with your poem.
3.) “The longing” poem is a fantasy. Here is a reality---we stay in touch as friends, but we still cannot figure out how to open our mind. I am sure we cannot make a relationship last more than a day.
4.) I am happy to get to know you. I think you are a great person. I love you very much, but I don’t want you as a boyfriend. (We are not made for each others)
5.) In the past year, I didn’t want to move on because I afraid you still like and wait for me. Since I hurt your feelings in the past when I was in Edinboro, My focus is to make sure that you are moving on and happy with life.

-You still kept all the poems on your Myspace and Facebook.
-You are not in a relationship, but your Myspace status set as “in a relationship”
7.) I want to tell you that I love you and your poems. I want you to be happy.
8.) We need to take our time find our significant others. (You find your love and I find my love) After that, we can be friends again.
9.) Finally, I wish you best of luck with your school, work, life, and everything.

What you're saying to him isn't being hard, I just wonder whether you should maybe try and tell him it all a bit more softly. I know you probably are going to do that anyway, and these were just the basics for your letter, but just thought i would point it out!
Maybe put it in a line similar to this:
Just because we aren't "together" doesn't mean I don't love you any less than I always did. You mean so much to me and it would be hell for me to loose you, just because we aren't toghether in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

I will be honest. I don't think this will work, I think the best thing to do is leave him to find out the hard way when you get with someone else. He will get the picture so the sooner you get with someone the better but only if you like them of course!
He needs to SEE you have moved on not be told you have, he could make up all kinds of thoughts in his head about why you'd say it when you didn't mean it. Most of all, don't hook up with him, EVER and don't talk about relationships with him, his or yours.
Treat him as an acquaintence for a year, a good one that you can catch up with occasionally and chat to online but don't arrange to meet up alone if you can help it as he'll cling to anything you give him, however small.
Most of all don't treat him any differently to any other close acquaintences you have. If he asks about a relationship give him a direct, short answer that can't be expanded on.
That's the best I can say! If he really is ready to know how you feel he will ask, you will answer directly and it will then sink in. He won't get it until he's ready to let go.

Every so often 1 needs to express themselves on how they feel, you have to speak from your heart..
No letter or fancy poem is going to solve anything...it's the easy way out... When it comes "Love" you have to speak how you feel, it will make you feel awkward, nervous, shaky, queazy even.. And afterwards you'll have mixed emotions and it will lead to smiles or tears... or both.
But, you will feel so much better after you've said what you've needed to say for a long time whether you are in Love or not...

Gal i can clearly conclude of him, he has a feeling for u love, u hurt him, he rote a poem on u, thus dunt give him a hard time, i must say he is out there waiting for u , contrary he aint waiting any other heart breaking..... either go with him or just keep evrythng to urself,

coz ur letter clearly indicates ...u really love him sumwhere or the other...
probably u r just scared to accept this fact...n u r tryin to mellow it down by sayin...we r not made 4 each other...

i have a friend, we have the same situation as you, i would rather have him as a friend then nothing at all.
