Dendrobates are living in south america and have plenty of colours, including purple one.

I have not heard of purple frogs in North America (USA) that kind of coloring, if it exist, would most likely be found in the jungles, such as the Amazon. And just a side note, when nature gives creatures this kind of coloring it usually means, "STAY AWAY, I AM DEADLY POISONOUS".

I saw a squished green frog in the road, once... it had turned a purplish-brown color on some parts of it..... prob'ly not what you're looking for, though..
