I want you to tell me HOW it CAN happen. Not how it cannot.

Imagine this. The results of the 2008 election is up. And the announcers are bewildered.. they cannot comprehend the numbers.. "Ladies and gentlemen, the numbers may shock and surprise many of you.. but the people have decided.. the president of the united states is..." drum roll.. "Dr. Ron Paul..!"

How would you feel when you hear that?

To those who said Ron Paul will "never" win, how do you know? Do you have the ability to 'see' the future?

Before David defeated the giant Goliath, people thought David didn't have a chance. Then David surprised everyone by killing Goliath with a single blow from his simple little weapon, a slingshot. If you believe, miracles can and do happen.

It can happen like this: Ron Paul organizes all of his supporters to bring suit against the US government for taking their tax money (extortion) and spending it on things they have no Constitutional authority to spend it on (fraud). They organize sit-ins at the IRS every day. They look for other things the Government does that they have no authority to do, and instead of TALKING about it, they bring lawsuits, organize protests, and do things to garner attention to how our money is mis-managed. Pull all your kids out of public schools as a protest against the Department of Education. Have a sit-in at General Dynamics to protest the mismanagement of government contractor money. You get the idea.

These protests will create news that the media will think is sensational enough to print / show / distribute. The movement gains such national attention that Ron Paul's message gets out. Once his message gets out, you have to trust to the American People to hear it and agree with it, join in the protests, and vote for him.

Ron Paul is never going to win using the tools of a regular campaign. Nobody wants to hear him, the people in power want him to go away. If he wants to be heard, he's going to have to rock the boat, not just complain about the course it's on.

How would I feel? Like David had again slain Goliath.

Mitt Romney's campaign only had 35 percent more cash than Ron Paul after subtracting debts on 6/30/2007.
($3,176,525 / $2,354,855 = 1.349)
Romney's contributions from individuals dropped by a third from first to second quarter.
Paul's contributions almost quadrupled from q1 to q2.
I think Paul is waiting until after the September financing report to start spending much money.
Probably more people will thinking about politics then.
We might be surprised by the new financing numbers on October 15.
The Meetup Fundraising Competion will be over tomorrow.
The leading groups for the event are in Philadelphia, New York, and Irvine.

There are 1461 days in a 4-year Presidential term.
If you donate a penny for each day that would be $14.61.
A nickel for each day would be $73.05.
A dime for each day would be $146.10.
A quarter for each day would be $365.25.

Most Presidents are in for two terms.
Your investment in the Ron Paul campaign could last a long time.

I would feel very sad that a plane somehow carrying Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Bill Richardson, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney, and John McCain had tragically crashed at some point during the campaign...

The only way that would happen is if all other candidates drop out of the race and only Paul supporters vote. That would be the smallest turn out in history. That is how it would happen. Not very likely it will happen at all.

Feel... like we are going from one bad president to another who may wind up being even worse.

He first has to defeat the Republicans, before he can stand up to the Democrats. I think he has a chance, he has my vote, grassroots is the only way since the media blocks him, look at this foxnews crap story. The more you now about him the more apealing he is, I did not like Paul at first, but the only people that bash him are the ones that havent listened to his views.

In asking us to respond other than "it will never happen" you are asking us to respond to a fantasy. How would I feel? I would know for sure I morphed into an alternate universe. Sorry, if I'm going to fantasize it isn't going to be about a man like Ron Paul.

If no one but the five Ron Paul supporters showed up at the polls he might have a chance.

The voters don't care about honesty in government, that's why they keep electing the same criminal element time and again.

Ron Paul is the only person who is truly qualified to hold the office of President, but who cares?

The only way it could happen is if all the other candidates (dems and reps) have a heart attack before the election and he's the only candidate left (except maybe Kusinich).

Sorry, he doesn't stand a chance. His domestic policies are great, but his foreign policy is isolationist and foolish.

If such an unllikely thing should happen, the incident would rate right up there with "miracles".
