My wonder product for tough stains such as this is some astringent, like you would find at any drug store in the beauty section. Facial Astringent, put it on a cotton ball and go over back and forth over the mark. I have not tried it specifically on Red Sharpie, so you mind want to find a place that is a little less obvious if it does take the paint off. But it works for a lot of tough things! Good luck!

While the above solutions will work, for the least amount of work, I suggest keeping Goo Gone in the house at all times! It is a citrus based cleaner so it smells great, it safe to use and will remove permanent marker, crayon, make-up, adhesives, etc. without damaging whatever it is from which you are removing the above. I used to by the tiny bottles, and eventually bought the jumbo size! I use it almost daily as I have a bunch of kids and a business that specializes in Super Cleaning. Best of luck!

Acetone will take off just about anything.

That is a hardware store item, It come in a quart can, in the paint section.

You will need clean white rags. Moisten with the solvent, and then rub the stain lightly in little circles. You don't want to use big strokes as that will spread the stain. Use a clean pice of rag as often as you have too.

I can't tell you what will remove it. But if you get tired of trying to get it off, paint it over with white "Kilz" brand paint, and then paint over that with whatever color you want on the wall. Kilz will cover almost anything, and prevent it from bleeding through.

I agree with the Kilz answer.. it's a great primer that covers up anything (we have young kids too).
