I was three weeks ago! Quiting sucks but it's worth it. Locally the tobacco tax keeps going up and up. It's crazy a pack of smokes will be $4.50 at the end of the year, and that's the cheap ones. A can of dip is about $5.00. All I can tell you is that it ain't so bad. The first week is the hardest, then it slowly gets better. I could smoke a whole pack right now, but the cravings have gone down. I chose the replacement gum and it works. However, you have to want to quit before you start screwing with your mind by depriving it of a stimulant like nicotine. Go for it, and never look back.

I have been a smoker for almost 13 years. Until my life get any better, I have no reason to quit. I doubt it if I'll ever have a happy life.

I am not a smoker, but I know of several people in my immediate family who do. They have tried and tried to quit. No matter what happens, I am there all the time, everyday to support them.

since I died in a car accident and came back to life, I've taken up smoking again; I'm a nervous, depressed wreck now and don't plan on quitting for at least another year cause I could die again in some weird way so what would be the point in quitting? yes, I know then I could die from lung cancer but I really dont forsee myself living that long

No. My dad was. I was 6 and his addiction to tobaco and alcohol was horrible. Since then I decided NEVER to smoke. Never have, never will.

By the way he quit now, but he was left with serious health problems.
