My husband has another child by someone else. She recently started kinder and she will not tell him what school she is going to and he is probably not listed as a contact person either. In their court order it says that he has a right to receive any information regarding the education of the child and is to be listed as an emergency contact person. What will happen since she is not following the court orders...she only follows the court order when it is convient for her!

If she's not following the court orders, then haul her butt back to court! However, that of course is a time and financial expense for you. Is it worth it?

send the woman a certified letter requesting the school information in compliance with his joint legal custodial rights. make it formal and non-judgemental. CC the letter to the courts with the case number and department number so they have a copy. also give a 1-2 week time frame in the letter for a response. if no response....send a letter again. this time, a little harsh. mention further action will be taken if no response is give within 5 days. CC that letter to the courts as well.
if still no response....take her to court.

He can request a hearing in front of a judge and get it all straightened out. I don't understand people who use the child against the other parent. 1. It's VERY juvenile 2. It is only hurting the child in the long run. Good luck to you and your husband. You have 13 more years of this.

She should talk to Dina Lohan. They'd be great friends....

Back to court --and fight hard. Ask the court to have her disclose the information on record, and under oath.

Good luck. I hate it when children suffer from divorce due to controlling parents who jeopordize the welfare of the children for their own selfish behavior. She sounds like a sucky person.

She is in contempt of a court order, and you need to remind her of her commiment to that order, or there will consequences. If she's pulling shi* like this now, you need to put your foot down, there's no need to be nasty, but inform her of what will be done. Call your lawyer, and take notes....
