That is actually normal behavior for them
They will take the pellet a few times in and spit them out until they are able to swallow them
It's not good to feed them bloodworms only, since they need an exchanged diet
you should only give bloodworms as a treat like 2-3 times a week, but no more then that
feed 3-4 pellets at each feeding twice a day, and give bloodworms instead of the pellets 2-3 times a week
Also fast your betta one day out of a week, that way you can prevent constipation

hope that helps
good luck

What was she being fed at the place you got her from??
Bettas can be a little picky (just like any other critter) ... I had to feed mine those little blood worms - and it's a pain in the butt to get those fresh every couple of days. I've seen others who'll eat fish-flakes like a goldfish.
Try a few different things.

maximum bettas are choosy some new food that they don't comprehend. in lots of cases, in case you're continual and supply them in simple terms that food, they are going to initiate to attempt it, and finally eat it devoid of issues. i would not use freeze dried bloodworms as their staple food although. they have a tendency to enhance lots in bettas stomachs, so till they're pre-soaked, they might reason constipation in case you feed those each and each of the time. i might supply her some pellets, and notice if she takes them. If she would not, eliminate them so as that they don't rot, and attempt lower back the next day. After an afternoon or 2, she could initiate to acknowledge them as food, and comprehend that there at the instant are not any selections and eat them.

Try feeding her freeze-dried wormss for now. If she likes it then continue. It is not better but it gives her something to eat. Then start putting pellets with the freeze-dried food for them to eat. You can feed just bloodworms but she won't really get ny nutrition. Try buying some betta flakes for it.

I'm speaking from experience here...don't feed your betta on a bloodworm diet. She will become constipated...trust me. To keep bettas' digestive system "clean" go ahead and peel a cooked pea, and give her a tiny piece of it. All the betta's I've owned have LOVED peas. She could just be a picky eater, though...in that case - TOUGH. :) She'll eventually eat them. Feed her the bloodworms sparingly....and give her a little piece of pea here and there. Hope this helps a little!

Maybe she has an eating disorder.... I would just put the food in there.... unless she's really sick, she will eat when she gets hungry.
