i have tried-my comp`-properties-advanced settings-unticked all but last 6 boxes-no joy-HELP!! THANK YOU!

try a different windows theme or restarting pc to see if the effects go away

Check that the video cable is properly plugged in.

Are you using the original video cable?

Do you have a KVM switch or a video cable extension? If so go back to the original video cable, or a high quality video cable.


This is typically a hardware problem, you are getting reflections of the video on the signal cable, usually due to a poor cable. Messing with software settings is not going to affect this.

what is your monitor type, a CRT monitor? if so, it could be a power supply issue in the monitor. May be it's time for replace it.

Try going on to start/control panel/mouse settings.

it's called ghosting try more memory on system board or getting better graphics card with more memory
