As much as i love my child i guess i would turn him in ..
I would be deeply ashamed but i would have no alternative would i?
If i did nothing then that is sending him the message that it is aceptable for him to have one ..
He may hate me but i would have to do what is morally right

I would do something that would teach them a lesson and shop them to the police. They aren't going to learn from their mistakes if you say "it's okay son I won't tell". It would be out of love and it would give them a big shock. Anyway I have brought my kids up extremely well with respect and moral values and there's no way on earth it would happen but if it did that's what I would do.

When my son was about 13 (he's now a perfectly grounded adult) he decided without my knowledge he was going to have a knife collection. Because he normally cleaned his own bedroom I didn't need to go in there much. One day he was poorly and while nursing him I came across about 15 knives, everything from a Swiss Army Knife to a flick blade. I hit the roof with him, took the knives to the police station and my son hated me for about a week! (apparently I had given his fishing knife to the police as well). The only people who got off lightly was the shopkeepers who had been selling my son knives - cos he wouldn't tell me where he had got them.

Before or after I passed out in shock?
I would like to think that I would drop it off anonymously at the Police Station, but it would probably be after I had pistol whipped the teen in question with it!

Disown him, cut the cord and pack their bags, second thoughtds kick them out with nowt not even clothes they are wearing - then see how hard they think they look, standing in the cold wet rain, not such a big man then

i would give them a bloody good slap (even though its against the law)
Take them & the offending weapon to the local police station
Then tell the cops to lock them in a cell for a few hours to sweat it out and hopefully that should put the frightners on them.

I'd call the P.C brigade and ask there advice, maybe they would suggest i take the child to live with them and they could rehabiltate the child for me..
If that fails i would pistol whip them with it and then call the police...

Firstly I would feel that I'd failed as a parent, then I'm sorry to say, I'd probably call the police, and just hope to God that he hadn't actually used it.
