My parents were that way, but my daughter is 14 now and I hope she gets humped by anything capable of an erection.

I am a parent, and I don't think I'm going to teach my child to wait till marriage, but rather teach them to be prepared for the consequences and the importance of sex, love, relationships. I would hope that from what I teach them they will at least wait till they are in a serious, committed relationship, but then, that's the definition of marriage.

Mine didn't care. Frankly, they aren't dumb people. They were more concerned with keeping us happy and healthy than keeping virgins. My mom told my sister and myself that when the time came that we decided to have sex, let her know and she would take us to the doctor and get us on the pill. Also, she always stressed safer sex with condoms. She made it very clear that no matter WHAT a guy says, unless you have a doctors report in your hand, assume everyone could be carrying any disease.
We are safe, and we are happy. I'm happily married now:)

all parents don't agree with sex before marriage. some just go ahead and have the sex talk with you cos they know that one way or the other you will try to experiment.. its a really touchy subject.

well every parent is that way but i bet cause they know they didn't and their parents didn't all say wait but they didn't have the will power to wait either its just their job to tell their kids to wait cause they don't want no unplanned pregnancy's....what they should do is just make sure you are ready and know how to protect yourself so you don't have a baby....i wish they made a video for kids showing them what to do and how to protect themselves and how to please their partners and the things you can do and not have intercourse and still have fun and still get satisfied at the same time...that would stop a lot of unwanted babies from being born too....well good luck on what you do.
