From the cities mentioned above, thae ones that are currently (capitals of a country) are:
Warsaw (Poland)
Ankara (Turkey)
Buenos Aires (Argentina)
Vienna (Austria)
However
Kraków was Poland's capital (from XI century to 1596) before Warsaw (and after Gniezno and Poznań)
I do not know other countries' history as well as polish, but as far as I know:
Salzburg was never anything more than the capital of (state) Salzburg
Istanbul was the capital of Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire, during the ages it was called Byzantium, Nova Roma, Constantinopolis to finally start to be called the name it bears now.

As varied and dispersed are the towns of your question, so complicated are the capitals.
Warsow and Krakow are in Poland, the first is the capital
Salzburg and Vienna are in Austria, the second is the capital.
Ankara and Istanbul are in Turkey, the first is the capital.
The first 4 cities are in Europe. Of the next two, one in Asia the other at the end of Europe.
Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina, in South America
I take it that you know the countries of those cities, but just in case that is also unknown, then you have a long way to go.
Wikipedia will help you under Poland, Austria, Turkey and Argentina.

They can't all be capitols because Vienna and Salzburg are both in Austria. Warsaw and Krakow are both in Poland. Istanbul and Ankara are in Turkey. Buenos Aires is in Argentina.
