I would be concerned and express to your wife you don't feel good about the text in the middle of the night. To me it means he was thinking of her and thinking of her that late at night is alot more worrisome then him saying hi in the middle of the day. Tell her its unaceptable and you'd like her to understand how you feel

Tell her how this bothers you. If she truly loves you she will put a stop to it.
