My company currently has a professionally designed web page but would like to add updates in house. So the idea of designing our own site and keeping it current is appealing. I have no HTML or web design knowlege; so I would need a very user friendly program. Any suggestions? Thanks!

With most companies that want to provide in house updates a website built on a CMS (content management system) is the best solution. You really DONT have to use any html or any program, you just update content and the CMS provides the work to make that into a site matching webpage.

Since there are many really good, open source, CMS systems out there the cost is minimal and the payback is very quick. Many of these can be installed for the price of a good HTML editor in fact they may be less than that cost.

Take a look at

or
http://drupal.org or http://www.mamboserver.com/ or http://www.joomla.org/

Or take a review of many and see which one you like.

You can take your existing design and add one to it -- farily easy to do and makes it very easy for ANYONE to then add updates!

Now, I know that is not what you asked but it is the best solution if you expect to change or add content on a routine basis.

Homestead isn't the best but it will do. I would suggest adobe dreamweaver, although it has a hefty price tags. there are good free editing software at downloads.com too, you could take a look and see what's appealing for you.
