What are some affordable ways to dress nicely for the office?

I'm not even close to rich, and most of my shopping is done at thrift stores or walmart. Neither of which are good places for professional clothing. Affordable, yes. But it doesn't fit, or has holes...etc. Is there anywhere to find nice looking bussiness attire at an affordable price?

Suprisingly, Macy's office attire in the juniors department is pretty affordable. Try Target too; they have really cute stuff for a really good price!

As a former Human Resources manager, depending upon the kind of office environment in which you work, your dress/attire should be condusive for the office first of all. Make sure you have dark and light colored pants outfits, with several colors of blouses. Tone down your jewelry and makeup. Invest in trouser socks and loafers to be comfortable and classy. Skirts with a variety of sweaters to top it off. Be colorful and classy at the time time. You can find class in Walmart and Kmart - I buy most of my outifts from Kmart - Jacqueline Smith - wonderful pieces. I also love to buy from Romans! Very inexpensive. Suits and tops less than $30.00!!
