To negotiate a settlement wherein two or more parties that are in conflict each "give" on something so they can come to agreement. No one gets all that they want, but each usually gets some of what they want. It is an art we have, unfortunately, lost too much of in this day and age.

To compromise is for two parties to come to an agreement on something that they can't agree on. They compromise by making concessions on both sides until each party gives enough that there is a settlement.
Example: You want to pay someone $10 for some work they have done for you. They want $20 instead. Finally you work it out to split it in the middle and pay the person $15. You have compromised on a price. Hope this helps.

An agreement between opposing parties to settle a dispute or reach a settlement in which each gives some ground, rather than continue the dispute.
It basically means where both sides come to an argreement by 'compromising' and making things as fair as possible, even if people have to sacrificice things.
hope this helps. :)

I'm not sure. Why don't we talk about it together and come up with a good fair answer.
