hmmm, my first thought was cat urine is ammonia and you never mix ammonia with bleach unless you are wearing a gas mask suited for chlorine gas.

Instead I'd try diluting the cat pee with good old vinegar and water to the ratio of 3 part water to 1 part plain white vinegar.

After that is dry, use a most efficient mixture I use when my dogs get skunked: Baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and a wee bit of dish washing liquid. Mix in water and apply.

As to your specific request, bleach and vinegar is great at mold and microorganism death......but does it apply to cat smell? I don't think so...but anyway, if all above fails, you've at least diluted the ammonia enough to be able to mix one cup bleach into 1 gallon of water and then add 1 cup vinegar.

The last thing you should do is mix bleach and vinegar. the vapors are toxic when mixed. the best solution to a urine problem is the enzyme cleaners found in pet stores. most of these cleaners use live enzymes to "eat" the ammonia that causes the smell. If you have a staining problem, you can use 3% hydrogen peroxide on the area.
moisten the affected area well, let stand for upto an hour, place a wad of white paper towel over stain and set a book or brick on top to remove discoloration and excess moisture.
peroxide turns to water when it come into contact with air, so there is no reason to rinse the area.
Good Luck!

looking on how massive your house is, it may take approximately 0.5 an afternoon to steam clean wall to wall carpeting. maximum agencies would have the skill to artwork around fixtures, yet of course that's extra advantageous in case you could circulate as lots fixtures as achieveable so as that the cleaners can clean as lots carpet as achieveable. you will have to open up your domicile windows after the carpet cleansing has been accomplished to air out your rooms (and with this warmth, to quicken up the drying time). in case you're speaking approximately cleansing handcrafted rugs, then cleansing is comprehensive off internet site and you frequently would desire to attend 2-3 weeks for the expert cleaners to return your carpet.

that would be a very bad idea. If you mix bleach with vinegar, you get chlorine gas. Chlorine gas is deadly.
