Or should they work towards a new world order in which there is supremacy of international law and all countries have more or less equal rights under that law?

I wouldn't feel right about suggesting what the Brits should or should not do.

The US, IMHO, should begin a policy of isolation or at least one of Non-Interventionism.

The US is contributing to an international welfare state through aid and corporate outsourcing and it is weakening other countries and those countries are complicit.

For instance: The US pays 4.5% of GDP into NATO. The EU countries on average pay about 2.5% and dropping using the surplus on subsidizing their agricultural sectors. That's not good for anyone's economy and NATO is obsolete anyway. It should be disbandedm, each country should take care of it's own defense and enter into regional military mutual aid agreements.

The US should withdraw it's troops from where ever they are if they intend on withdrawing from Iraq. There are no politicians willing to go through what Bush did while extending power to protect global oil supply and fight terror. The America as international policeman role is over and the world should get ready for it. The US can not do it alone and apparently, the so-called, allied nations are not motivated to assist anymore. Alliances were necessary in WWII and the cold war but are irellevant now.
The transition will be painful as there will be many regional conflicts and genocides erupting but things, I believe, will be more managable and peaceful when the dust settles. We are just delaying the inevitable now anyway.
Regions can and should be under regional control. There will be a high price to pay as many races of people will vanish from the earth but, I don't see how that can be prevented.

We should restore the old order where Britain & America are at each other's throats. The UN should be disbanded, The European Union should be disbanded. WTO, World Bank, and IMF should be destroyed, and the heads of the corporations that sponsor them should be publicly drawn & quartered. The third world should be allowed to develop economically without the industrialized nations constantly financing coups and civil wars while draining them of their resources to line the pockets of multinational corporations. A good nuclear exchange between Britain & America that totally destroys them both would benefit a lot of impoverished people around the world.

Yes it would be kind of nice if there was an Anglo-American network type of civilization that would dominate the world and bring order to an otherwise unruly and chaotic globe.
