Steeleye Span was the name of the group (consisting, at the time, of: Maddy Prior, Tim Hart, Robert Johnston, Rick Kemp, Nigel Pegrum, and Peter Knight). Incidentally Maddy Prior the group's lead singer guested on vocals on Status Quo's version of the aforementioned song; released in 1996 on the "Don't Stop" CD.
