If Senator Craig was caught in a bathroom stall having Gay sex, he would probably say that he is getting his prostate checked. And that it is the Media's fault that he has to do it in a bathroom stall, rather than having his prostate checked in his Doctor's Office.

That's not bad. But he already answered your question himself. To paraphrase; "I wasn't doing what they said I was doing. And I only pleaded guilty because I didn't want a big scene".
It won't get him far. He must think we're pretty stupid. But then, he doesn't have much to lose anymore.
To be honest, I don't think he ought to lose his job just because he likes men a bit. Hypocrisy would be a good reason, though.
