I installed divx but still my players (vlc,nero showtime) play only sound & a black window is shown.Now what?

I tried to open an .avi file, then a .flv, generally it plays nothing, I can only hear the sound!

try updating from divx.com

Wow, the latest VLC media player plays EVERYTHING on the planet.

What file are you trying to play (what is the extension?).
