Obviously, not everyone is ticklish. Some people laugh even at the sight or anticipation of getting tickled.
It is all very complicated really...
It depends on your mind set a lot. What I mean is that: even if you are know to be a ticklish person, you won't be as much in those occassions when you are in a bad mood or depressed.
Some people, like me are definetaly not ticklish at all. I may have thick skin or something but, I just don't find it pleasant or amusing. To tell you the thruth, I wish I was tickish and that it didn't depend on the element or surprise.
I say surprise because you will not feel them if you are asleep or if you tickle yourself.

Tickles, as any other kind of corporal estimulation, affect each person differently.
Some people may be more sensitive, and others less. Some poeple may feel ticklish only in certain parts, and others in everywhere!
It affects each differently, the same as some people likes bananas and others like oranges.
Most children are very sensitive to tickles, and as they grow old, they become less affected. For instance, my mother is very very ticklish, but she has learnt how to control her feelings, and can hold it for long.
I also know people that is not ticklish at all, no matter where u tickle them. But they do have a particular sensitive spot that makes them jiggle!
I find there are two types of tickles: the good ones and the bad ones. Bad ones are those u get just to be annoyed. Good ones are those caressing your sking, and that u can actually enjoy.
And yes, I do get tickles, both types from my family. I think thats normal!

Haha, well I'm ticklish but i believe that not everyone is. How can someone generalize the entire human race by saying "everyone" is ticklish?! Anyway, my family and I are close and I don't recall tickling each other all that much but it doesn't seem abnormal to me. Plus, if they are the ones that say everyone IS ticklish, they're probably just trying to prove their point.

Not everyone is ticklish, but around 95% of the population is.
Very few people are not ticklish under the foot.
If you take someone by surprise, they will probably laugh, but there are some who are immune to tickling.

I think I know you. I know a couple of people like you. I become a little insane when tickled: it HURTS! I think it is unusual, but kind of normal. Your impulses are just wired differently. Do you pass the mallet to the knee tests from your Doc?
