To remove grass stains, dab the area with rubbing alcohol or diluted hydrogen peroxide before washing. Or, try putting liquid dishwashing detergent on the stain, let sit for ten minutes then wash.Good Luck! =)

I always loved Biz pretreat, but I had to boil water, add the Biz and put the clothes in and let sit until cool. Always worked.
Enzyme cleaners like Biz or those that are added to the laundry detergent still need to have bleach added. Even then pretreat with the detergent, scrub with a brush.....hard, let sit for about 30 minutes and then wash with detergent and bleach.
Rubbing alcohol is one I often forget! Great on protein stains.
Finally a weird one, hydrogen peroxide and bleach directly onto the stain. Don't mix this and store it, just use straight from each bottle.
You wonder why they came up with white football pants! They should send home laundry instructions!
Finally, if possible, line dry. Dryer heat can set stains. Until you have found the perfect solution to your season long problem, line dry.

I think it depends a lot on whether you have washed them since you acquired the grass stains.
If you have not washed them, you should use an enzyme type cleaner, like Shout, or I use this stuff called Zout! that is wonderful!
After you let the enzyme cleaner set in on the pants, rub them with some liquid laundry detergent and wash on the hottest setting. If you use too much bleach, you can yellow your pants, so be careful!
Good luck!

Get a Clorox bleach pen and apply it directly to the stains. Let it set just a little bit. You will see the stain disappear. Rinse it out well with water and then throw it in the wash. I just used it to get out tomato, that had dried and set for a few days, on a white blouse. It only took about a minute and worked well.

Bleach will work nicely... if you do not want to use that then try the new Shout.. it takes out anything even set in stains and works! Got blood out of a shirt from football from 3 years ago.

* Spot Removal Tip:- Avoid using ammonia, degreasers or alkaline detergents on grass stains. They could permanently set the stain.
** Pour molasses on the stain and let it soak overnight. The sulfur in the molasses will eat away the grass. Rinse thoroughly to remove the molasses.
Have fun!!
