It should be adopted around the country. As far as i'm concerned criminals have no right to "comforts".

You keep up the good work Sheriff if there where more places in the states that did this there would not be too many people going to jail the harder you make it the less criminals will want to go to jail. This is the problem we are to soft with the riff raff not only in the states but all over the world all the goody two shoes scream out it"s not right to put these men and women through this if they do the crime they do the time you keep up the great work Sheriff Joe Araio.

The Sheriff in Marion County Florida did the same thing. He saved the taxpayers a lot of money and I agree with his thinking.

It is a harsh living environment. But, the inmates there have been convicted of a crime. There is no reason they should be provided air conditioned living quarters and food that is any better than they receive now. I favor his management of the jail, albeit he is very political and grandstanding. Thumbs up here.

As an ex-Maricopa resident, I approve.

Real people work outdoors in Phoenix year-round. We got used to it.

If you offend there, you can too.

Sounds good to me. I applaud the man. No prisoner should have rights, TV, videos, etc. That's why they call it prison. I don't want to pay for their privileges until their sentence is over.

Do you prefer his treatment to 'sharing' yourself with Bubba? Maybe Araio's criminals will get rehabilitated.
