You should take a two-step approach.

As you do not know the value you should visit a stamp store and ask them HOW MUCH they would PAY for your collection. Do not ask for the value as you will get any crazy number. Ask them what they would PAY for the album. If they would have to buy it NOW. But don't sell it.

Then you can sell on ebay and ask twice the amount you were offered. You should easily sell the collection if you scan everything.

And if you can't sell it, go back to the store and gt the money you were offered the first time.

Take the collection into a store where they sell stamps for collectors and ask them to appraise it. They will tell you how much it is worth, and will advise you how to put it on the market if that is what you want to do. For stamps, it is not how old the collection is but what shape it is in, and weather the stamps have been used, if the countries that issued them still exist, etc. etc.
