...warm water, a towel (oxy-clean) if you'd got some and rub, rub, rub... latex is a water-based paint... but don't let it set in if you can help it...

Clean up what you can with dishsoap and water before it dried. If the paint is dry make a mixture of lemon juice and water and apply. OR use a citrus based cleaner - citric acid dissolves the latex in the paint. Good luck.

Also use tissue instead of rags, they are the most absorbent material around.

If you can find dry cleaner liquid, also try this........if I were thinking about this, I'd contact a professional cleaner before messing with dry cleaner liquid.

Finally, if it is just one spot, remove it and replace with a patch taken from some inconspicuous spot; closet, under furniture. Use double sided tape to reset and put the stained spot in the inconspicuous spot.

First use sandpaper to get rid of the crusty layer. Then use plain dish soap and a brush. Scrub in until it fades. Then put a towel over it, stomp on it until the moisture is gone.
