Until I quit my second job recently (to return to school), I had two jobs.
At the grocery store, I would say "My job ROCKS!" I love my co-workers, I love my bosses, I love my job.
At the hospital (where I recently quit), I would say "Just pays the bills....barely". My boss is an a-- who doesn't do anything all day except play crossword puzzles with the other bosses, the co-workers are lazy and gossip all day, the patients are downright mean and rude, and the pay was probably about 5 or 6 dollars less per hour than we deserved to be getting.

I am 'retired' ... and since I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, this is a 'disability retirement' ... but I 'love' my career of being a psychologist, and I still 'practice' by coming to Y!A and answering as many questions as I can every day. Yes, even on weekends when my husband is not at work ... not as many, but I still can come here to do it, and I do. I'll 'work' on Labor Day, too ... every day is a day that people have 'feelings' or 'needs' that I can meet ... but I do 'love the fact' that if I need to 'take a break' even in the middle of giving an answer here, all I have to do is get up from my computer chair, go to the bedroom or the kitchen and 'think' as I do something else ... but coming to Y!A keeps my 'mind' working on 'all cylinders' ... and THAT is a 'very good thing' as I get older.

I do like my job I don't get bored either, I understand we have responsibilities bills, rent and other expenses. Sometimes when a once in a lifetime opportunity comes along, especially when it comes to a higher paying salaries you don't let it pass along just take advantage of it. Then your boss can get on someone else's nerves for a change.

My job as an office assistant at a publishing company is so boring, so for now it "just pays the bills". Thank God I'm going back to college next semester to get my master's degree and change careers!!!
