I'd prefer Yi to be older. 22 is a perfect age for teams to acquire and develop talent. Basically it's equivalent to college. Very few High School players have made seamless transitions to Pro without some development in the college game. You can point to a handful who have. At 22 years old there is plenty of time to develop and be a contributor for many years to come. Your peak is about 25-29 so that would give him a few years to mature into a Pro player. At 19 he is basically still a High School player.

It's all about potential. If he's only 19, then his ceiling is much higher because he's got all those years to develop. If he's 22, though, then you have to lower the ceiling because it means he's three years further along than thought in his development.

If I was the Bucks or a Bucks fan, I'd definitely be hoping he's younger. Otherwise, you have to wonder how much better he's really going to get. Sure, players do develop into their late 20s, but that gap from 19-22 is huge. Look at how Lebron developed from the time he was 19 during his rookie season to the player he is currently. That's a pretty precious time, and it would be tought if Yi has already used it up.

if he's younger, you can look forward to him playing longer. And you will be able to teach him more.

If he's really 22, it wouldn't be a big deal. It's the same age as guys who enter the league after 4 yrs of college.

I think he's older than 22 though. I'm thinking he's more like 25

age does matter- the younger he is the longer he can play. he'd be more mature if he was 22 but at 19 he seems to have more potenntial

if he's 19, then people would think he has more potiental and can play more years in the league, but I don't think it matters that much as long as he's not like 40.

I personnally just dislike him because he lyed about his age (and I'm chinese).

It doesn't matter as long as he is good at it
