Why does YA allow insults and threats of violence against certain groups/individuals to stand?

Question

See insults and threats of harm directed against certain posters, against African-Americans, Mexicans, illegals, women, Jews, atheists, liberals, non-Christians, gay people, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, other prominent Blacks and women.

And yet they just took down another of my postings and sent me yet another violation notice. See my question, "Who runs this site?" for more information.

I am not in favor of censorship. But this is selective censorship.

Tonight we have Kevin c's contribution: " Is there a bigger crime family than the Jews?"

I received an email from YA saying that my points have been restored. This was after I responded by demanding an apology. So I guess that was an apology.

I'm just against violence, lie, manipulation.....etc. but, yahoo staff deleted my two accounts without reason. this account is third. few days ego, RLP's account has been suspended. so, yahoo answers is not fair, democratic

Like people making fun of Clinton's figure...who cares if she has a little extra paunch? Do world politics revolve around the weight of a country's president? Look at Taft, 400 pounds and was president.

Like people making fun of Barack Obama because he is biracail and his middle name is Hussein. That dosen't make him a terrorist. They forget that he went to Columbia and Harvard while Bush failed Government and Economics TWICE at Yale.

And insulting Liberals. We are not all 'baby killers' like the repubs like to call us. I am sick of being insulted on here fore being a Christian and a Liberal. You can be both. Maybe some of the conservatives on here that pretend to be so bible thumping should take a look at the corruption in their own party recently instead of making up new name to call liberals and democrats.

This is a good question, many people are too afraid to ask it, although more then a few think it. Thanks.

For YA staff to monitor every question/answer would be a costly job. I think, I don't know of course, that the only time anything is checked is when a complaint is made.

I do not know. But it seems to me that an American company with a world-wide reach would better serve the world by using free speech as its policy and leave censureship to parents, where it belongs.

I am talking about following US Constitutional guidelines and not censureship. It's called common sense, people!

I agree. They removed one of my answers because I told a guy his religious question should be in the Religion and Culture section and not Politics. LOL!! they said I violated community standards.

Actually, community guidelines do forbid threats of violence and insults. However, I don't think that all of them are reported, so that's the reason why so many of them stand.

They don't get reported, or they're worded cleverly as to hide their actual meaning at first, but once you start reading all of it, is a bunch of racist bull. Moderators probably aren't going to read every question in detail if they aren't reported, but if your question sounds bad outright then they'll probably just delete it..
