I happen to have something stuck on a cardboard with fly-catching glue.

Nail polish remover, (Carbon Tetrachloride),
will dissolve most glues.
Careful, it will also damage most paint or plastic finishes.

fly catching glue... hmmm I wonder if a zippo fluid would do that. I usually do that to remove stickers.

Either that or may be Goo Gone.

You need something acidy like orange juice. I've also heard tooth paste removes glue.

Try "DAWN" dishwashing liquid.It works for all kinds of things,including silver cleaning,getting fleas off dogs,and removing oil from clothes.

try peanut butter or mayo-both dissolve some glues or gum.
