Why does she want the trailer?

If you are going into a marriage where you have significantly more personal and real property, it might be a good idea. For instance, if I owned a house and had a large retirement, I would ask for a prenup. If the marriage didn't last at least 10 years, then she would have no claim to the property or retirement.

I was lucky, my second wife and I both owned similar houses, had similar debt, and both had pretty good retirement accounts. If she ever leaves me, she would be where she was before she met me (and vice versa)

Don't cloud issues. In a marriage, there is love and there is finance. They are not the same thing. Treat it as such. Protect yourself and your future.

50% of married couples end up in divorce. If your young and no assets no need for a pre-nup. But if your filthy rich and she or he is not of course it would be wise to have a pre-nup. confusing times we have now.

It depends....did she have a history of being a gold-digging *****? Are you rolling in the dough? Do you have a lot of assets (houses, cars, business, etc)? Then yes.

If you both came into the marriage with next to nothing, then no.

why? do you have millions of dollars and think she is going to divorce you to get half? that is the only time you should even consider a pre nup. if my husband had presented me with one we would have never gotten married. to me it means you are skeptical about your future together.

With the divorce rate being what it is, OF COURSE YOU SHOULD'VE MADE HER SIGN A PRENUP! Any woman who truely isn't with you for the money should have no problem signing one.
