Not all are equal. Some have health care while others go without, some have homes while others are in shelters or living on the streets, some have food while others are starving to death, some have enough money to take care of thousands while others don't have enought to take care of themselves and some have preferential treatment while others have to fight to make a living.
I can't make that equal out no matter how hard I try.

I think this is true, all men are, in the beginning, created equal. When they are born and throughout their lives, however, they dilute that equality. Some are rich, others poor. Some become good men, some become corrupt men. Some help others, some only help themselves. Some strive to live a happy life and others only exist miserably. All men are created equal, but they don't stay that way for very long!

We're supposed to be created equal, but there is still feelings of believing others are beneath you. And since we are all labeled, there's no way in the world people will ever truly be treated as equals. For examples, people are separated by their race, financial situation, clothing choices, food choices, sexual orientation, and the list goes on. Mainly, if a person doesn't think/agree/seem like you, they aren't your equal and are either lower or higher on the totem-pole than you are. It sucks, because we're supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. How can one be free if they're steady trying to be excepted, and how can one be brave when by being yourself you'll be ridiculed?

So, personally, I think people say we're created equal because it helps them sleep at night.

There is no such thing as equal opportunity as long as one has the qualifications to beat out the others. I does not exist here in America, Affirmative Action did a lot to damage the fairness in this country, if you have a degree you beat out a guy who's been working 20 years and knows the job better then you, to me it bogus

You can still make it in America from different classes, but it's a hellavu lot easier if you've grown up in a good environment. The other thing that's really important is knowing people and being able to network. Nepotism is alive and well and it takes work to bust in if you're not from circle.

Sadly, that is no longer true. It should now be stated, "..all men are created equal except for those with money who will always get special treatment...."

Yes it is fundamentally true and looks good in the Constitution and they are Created equal. But that is a fallacy and nothing is fair or equal except at the bakery. You are so Welcome!!! (I know you feel enlightened)

The rich can talk about equality, the poor can only wish it was so.
