That is a tough one that needs some skill to avoid problems. You will need to thread the pipes, install them correctly, and seal the joints to avoid gas leaks. I would do almost anything with water pipes but am hesitant about touching gas pipes.
See local plumbers to get prices, including an option where you supply the parts (piping and valve) and they do the skilled installation. Also see if the place you bought the dryer has a list of contractors that they work with or can subcontract.

Go to the hardware store and purchase the correct size shut off valve.(keep in mind, there are 2 different sizes). Purchase "pipe dope, or pipe tape. Shut the gas off to the house for safety. If there is a cap on the exposed line from the wall, remove it. Wrap the tape, or spread the dope on the threads. Screw on the shut off valve and tighten. make sure the "on/off" on the new valve is turned perpendicular to the pipe, so the valve is shut off. Turn the gas back on. smear some dish soap around the connection. If it bubbles then there is a slight leak, tighten the valve more then recheck. Be sure to relight your furnace and water heater if needed.

Find your main gas shut off ( next to the gas meter) and turn off the gas. This will also shut down your furnace and hot water tank....Before you do all this, stop at the hdwr store or home center and get the shut off (probably half inch) The shut off will have both ends as female ..one end will screw on to gas line and you'll need a nipple to go from the other side of the shut off and into your flex pipe on your dryer...you'll need teflon tape for the threaded joints Make all the connections and then relight the other appliances(should be instructions on both the furnace and hot water tank) If you have any questions about this call a plumber

Most everybody is correct but there are about 15 different types of pitcocks (gas shut offs) If you are running on LP Propaine you will want to avoid a teflon based thread sealant, as the chemicals in the LP gas will break down the teflon and in a few years or more you will have a gas leak.

RE:
I need to install the shut off gas valve for dryer, how to do it?
It has the pipe line (head) outside the wall where the dryer will place. the delivery agent does not connect without the shut off valve for gas. Please give me advise. Thanks.
