By following the shettles method to concieve a boy, do the chances of actually having a boy go up or is it still 50/50? We are charting temperature and cm right now for a few months and then we'd like to try to give our son now a little brother. My husband's side has all girls and we'd like to bring more boys to the family! We'd love a little girl too just as much of course!! Has anyone actually tried this method to get either sex? I've read the book and I know the exact time of day that I ovulate so I won't be hard for us to follow what the book says.

Shettles claims an 80% success rate for a boy if his method is followed exactly, and a 75% success for girls. There haven't been any large-scale studies to try to either support or disprove his success rates.
So, if you do it right, your odds should be 80/20.

honey, I wish creating the child of your desired sex was that easy but it simply isn't. The boy sperm could be having a bad day when you have sex and the girl wins. Unfortunately, that's the way it goes. I'm sure that you are all sick of girls but daddy's little girl is always giong to be loved if that's what you have. My husband wanted a boy and we got a girl. I think now he's glad he has a her instead of a him. He loves it when she says daddy and sits and loves on him. Whatever, you have I'm sure you will love it just the same. And hey, if you have a girl you can always just try again. Practice makes perfect you know!
