I am pregnant, have had it confirmed and everything, but I am afraid I am going to lose this baby. Two days before I tested positive, I started to spot, which I didn't find unusual because I spotted with my son also, but the night I tested positive I started to cramp too! The spotting is very light, mostly just when I wipe, and it comes and goes. The cramping is also light for the most part, and it feels more like a pulled muscle than menstrual pain. What worries me is that every question I have read says that spotting or cramping separately are common, but if they happen together it is trouble! I have talked with my obgyn, and she sent me for blood work to check hcg levels..... came back 1-2 weeks pregnant so she told me she couldnt do an ultrasound to check for problems yet. She just told me to rest, drink lots of fluids, and avoid sexual contact. Is this ok, or should I seek advice from someone else? I can't help but worry that I am eventually going to miscarry, ugh.

i am thinking that it's just implantation bleeding(which is normal) and some implantation cramping(again which is normal). as long as neither of them get worse, you will be fine.

because you are so early in the pregnancy there is nothing you can do. if you're going to miscarry then it is just going to happen and it has nothing to do with anything that you did or didn't do. one out of every 4 pregnancies miscarry before the first trimester is over. it probably seems more prevalent now because so many women do tests asap and find out way before women did years ago.

just try some positive thinking and try not to stress because that probably won't help anything.

good luck.

Probably just ligaments stretching. If your spotting is light and brown nothing to worry about. Cramping isn't much to worry about either unless it becomes really painful. Watch for bright red blood. If that happens call your doctor.

I think you need to do whatever puts your mind at ease...if that means getting a second opinion, then do so. That said, would you go to your family dr or another obgyn? If I were you, I'd just go on the word of your obgyn. Good luck!

Maybe it was implantation bleeding? I really hope everything is ok, I would do what your doctor says because I dont think there's anything else that you could do, Since miscarriages cant be prevented.
best of luck.
