She should think about what's best for every baby - a loving and financially stable home with two parents. If she cannot provide that for her child, adoption is the best choice. There are many couples who cannot have a baby of their own. Maybe your friend is an answer to their prayers!

If your friend does not want to approach her parents yet she could certainly call a local crisis pregnancy center and they can offer the support and advice she needs.

God bless.

Abortion isn't the only option. If your friend does not feel she can care for a child then she can always continue the pregnancy, have the baby, and give it up for adoption. There is one kind of adoption where the birth mother can keep in limited contact with the child, it's called "open adoption". It's good for women who just can't see themselves giving their babies away and never knowing what became of them.

Though it may not matter legally how her parents feel about the abortion (depending on where she lives), having to hide an abortion from people she really cares about--or having to openly defy them and face their disappointment--would make it all the more difficult on her.

I am guessing she is young enough so that her parents views on abortion matter.
If she wants to keep the baby, by all means!
If not, adoption is always an option. It seems like a lot of want-to-be moms and dads are always looking for a new addition for their family. Just be sure to use a reputable agency/ lawyer. Maybe a local dept. of childrens services can put her in touch with an agency that can help...

its her body and even if shes underage, they have no legal say in what she does with her body. she can do as she wishes. however, i dont recommend abortion. she should carry the baby full term and give it up for adoption if she doesnt want it. why kill the baby to make the problem go away when she can give it to a family who wants the baby. all of a sudden this baby goes from a problem to a blessing. but nobody can make this decision but her

i take it she does not want to be pregnant? in which case the best thing would be to ring a pregnancy help line where a trained councillor can talk to her about options. And go to the doctor who can also advise her.

you dont say how old she is, whether she is with the father, or if she wants a baby so its quite hard to advise you but good luck

Putting the baby up for adoption seems to be the only alternative. If her parents tell her she has to keep the baby as a punishment for getting pregnant tell social services, child protective services right away. No one wants grow up unwanted. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/child-protective-services Will be able to help you find social services in your area.

If you live in a state where you need parental concent then call an abortion clinic. Tell them the situation and ask them if they can recomend a lawyer that can help. You can get judicial bypass and your parents don't have to know a thing about it. They aren't involved in the process at all. The lawyer won't usually cost anything. Good luck

Not sure about the laws/age limit on abortion. Just because her parents are against it, doesn't mean she can't have one.

Her only other options are to raise it or adoption. Be supportive whatever she decides.

Well it's her decision. If she can live with that then it's her decision. There is also adoption out there though. Lots of people would love a little baby. If she needs help see if there are any pregnancy crisis centers out there. They can help her with what she chooses to do.

Support her and convince her to keep the baby because abortion is not such a good idea. if she had sex in the first place then she should know the consequences!!
