can a graphics card with S - Video out play back to a normal television ? if so is the picture same format as we receive in movie channels in cable , satellite , standalone DVD players ? please do not answer in $$$$ X $$$ pixels .... just a simple answer of whether the picture will be normal size if the TV is 21 ' ( i will use all forms of media players ; at last count i had maybe 8 in my PC . so whatever is needed i will have )

While you can use S-Video to display your computer on a regular TV, the picture is very blurry because of the difference in the larger number of lines on a computer monitor and the smaller number of lines on a standard TV. You also do not get an sound from the S-video. You have to use the computer's speakers to listen to the DVD.

If you have a high definition or Plasma TV, then the picture quality is good and you can use it. You can also run a line from the computer's speaker jack into the TV's audio in so you can hear the DVD on the TV.

But for a standard TV, the picture sucks....

yes it will work but not as good as a tv. but you can use all in one graphics card with built in tv tuners. usually those type of graphics card are available in ATI Technologies, they have a built in TV Tuners and With a Performance of a real television.

Yea, it will work. It may be a little choppy becuase the Tv size isnt it's natural size, but sure, it will work!
