i have found a proxy which allows me to view any webpage i want but i cant' find a way to install anything on the school computer. when ever you try it says you need to be a school adminstrator. There was a computer at my old school that allowed you to install for some odd reason. is there any way to do this. please dont write anything on here telling me not to do it or anything along those lines, if that what you do with you life you need to get one....thanks - Dustin

Dustin, first go to your schools IT administrator and tell him that you would like to install the software.

If it's something that will help with your school work and is not full of malware then I am sure he will accomodate your needs. If not, he will at least tell you why you are not allowed to do so.

Lastly, if you think people giving security minded advice on yahoo defines needing a life, I think you should clean your own house before making rude remarks.....installing software and bypassing the school security system is hardly a life achievement is it?

I take you don't want a life. Are you aware that if you were to install software that damaged the computer or compromised the network, you could face charges that have landed people in jail for 20-30 years?

I do have a life. I work in the computer security area. I see people get themselves suspended, fired, fined, and even imprisoned regularly for what you are trying to do.

It is not worth having a criminal record just so you can chat with a friend or play a game. Wait until you get home and can use your own computer.

Do yourself a favor and keep your life....

You don't unless you're an administrator. There's a reason you're blocked from downloading software. Oh, and thanks, but I do have a life.
