Does anybody think that missing 8 days in 2 years of college is bad?

That averages out to 2 days per 16-week semester. No, that's not bad.

Not at all. I missed more than that my first semester and still got a 3.9 GPA. As long as you know the material, you'll be fine. However, some professors take attendance, so make sure you know whose class you're skipping.

no, as long as you can keep up on your work. i know people that miss 8 days in 3 months! so dont feel bad

No, I would think that is well below average...sometimes things come up. Just be sure to keep tabs with the professors and they will respect the fact you are human.

It depends. More and more profs are only allowing 3 per class per semester. What's your program?

Not really. Are you up-to-date with work or are you behind? If you are behind, do all you can to catch-up, speak to your tutor etc.
