For example, when you trade an orange property to a player that owns the other two orange properties, is it allowed to request amnesty when you land on any of the orange properties. (Amnesty meaning you don't have to pay when you land there).

Tournaments don't allow amnesty but whatever house rules your host (the owner of the game) allows is what is law.

Greetings! Amnesty is never allowed, but people do use it, much like the $500.00 for landing on Free Parking. In Monopoly Tournaments, Amnesty or free passes are not even considered. Remember, the object of the game is to bankrupt your opponents. If an opponent wants the Monopoly bad enough, they can trade some of their cash....A LOT OF IT in the situation you just described.

Personally, I would never make a trade for the Oranges unless he or she can trade something that will create a Monopoly for you....again, it better be good for me. Maybe the Red, Yellow or Blues (Boardwalk and Park Place).

Good luck, and enjoy the game. Monopoly is my all time favorite.

Not according to the official rules. Since a player doesn't HAVE to request rent you could try to set up some sort of informal amnesty arrangement but then there's nothing that would prevent the other player from backstabing you when you land on his property.

But like the other person said, you could always just set up some house rule.

Never heard of that rule before but you can play with your own add on rules such as that one perhaps.
